In an era marked by rapid technological advancement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and transformative innovation, 3rd ASRIC-OI’2025 invites scholars, researchers, industry professionals, and thought leaders to contribute their original insights to our upcoming conference themed “Engineering and Informatics Empowering Africa’s Community and Inclusive Innovation”.

The conference is organized by African Scientific Research and Innovation Council (ASRIC) and Obour Institutions (OI); and in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of EGYPT.

The primary objectives of the conference are to:

1. Facilitate knowledge exchange on innovative engineering and informatics solutions that drive Africa’s socioeconomic development.

2. Explore emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in digital transformation, and artificial intelligence for community and inclusive innovation.

3. Promote inclusive and community-driven innovation through relevant engineering practices. 4. Strengthen collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers in shaping Africa’s

engineering landscape.

Topics of interest

First Track: Engineering Sustainable Infrastructure for Inclusive Growth

This subtheme focuses on innovative engineering solutions that address Africa’s infrastructure challenges while promoting environmental sustainability and social equity. Key areas of discussion include:

Sustainable Energy Solutions: renewable energy and smart grids to enhance energy access and reliability in underserved areas;

Resilient and Smart Transportation Systems: The role of AI, IoT, and sustainable materials in improving urban mobility, road safety, and public transport efficiency;

Affordable and Green Building Technologies: Innovative materials and construction techniques that reduce environmental impact while providing safe and affordable housing.;

Water and Sanitation Engineering: The development of low-cost, scalable solutions for clean water access and improved sanitation, particularly in rural and informal settlements.

Second Track: Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies for Inclusive Innovation

This subtheme highlights how AI, big data, and emerging technologies can drive inclusive innovation, ensuring equitable access to technological advancements. Discussions will cover:

AI for Healthcare and Public Health: The use of AI-driven diagnostics, telemedicine, and wearable health technologies to bridge healthcare gaps and improve patient outcomes;

Education and Digital Skills Development: Strategies for leveraging AI and EdTech platforms to enhance digital literacy, STEM education, and workforce readiness;

Inclusive Innovation and Indigenous Knowledge Systems: The integration of traditional knowledge with modern technologies to develop solutions tailored to African contexts;

Ethical AI and Policy Frameworks: Addressing algorithmic biases, data governance, and regulatory frameworks to ensure AI-driven solutions are fair, transparent, and beneficial for all.

Review process:

All relevant papers will go through a single-blind peer review process by three reviewers manually selected by the Technical Program Committee (TPC).

Publishing:

Accepted papers will be published in the ASRIC Journals for Engineering Sciences, the ASRIC Journal for Natural Sciences, and Obour Institute journal for Engineering and Technologies.
