ASRIC Scientific Journals may screen submitted manuscripts for textual similarity and investigate suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, data manipulation, or other forms of publication misconduct in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.

7. Submission and Initial Editorial Screening

All manuscripts submitted to the ASRIC Journal on Health Sciences undergo an initial editorial assessment before being considered for external peer review.

During the initial screening, the editorial team will assess whether:

  • The manuscript falls within the aims and scope of the journal.
  • The submission is complete and complies with the journal's Author Guidelines.
  • Required author, affiliation, abstract, keyword, reference, ethics, funding, and competing-interest information has been provided.
  • The manuscript demonstrates sufficient scholarly and methodological quality to proceed to peer review.
  • The submission complies with applicable research and publication ethics requirements.
  • There are concerns relating to plagiarism, duplicate submission, redundant publication, data integrity, authorship, or other forms of research or publication misconduct.

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's basic requirements may be returned to the authors for correction or declined without external peer review.

Manuscripts that successfully complete the initial editorial screening will proceed to the journal's peer-review process.

8. Peer Review and Editorial Decision

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening will be considered for external peer review in accordance with the journal's peer-review policy.

The peer-review and editorial decision process includes the following:

  • Manuscripts are normally evaluated by at least two independent external reviewers with relevant subject expertise.
  • The journal applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other.
  • Reviewers assess the manuscript's originality, scientific or scholarly quality, methodology, clarity, significance, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope.
  • Authors may be required to revise their manuscript in response to reviewers' and editors' comments.
  • Revised manuscripts should be accompanied by a clear response explaining how each reviewer and editor comment has been addressed.
  • A revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers or assessed by the editor, depending on the nature and extent of the revisions.
  • Editorial decisions may include acceptance, revision, resubmission, or rejection, as appropriate.
  • The final decision on publication is made by the responsible editor in accordance with the journal's editorial policies and the evidence provided through peer review.
  • Editorial decisions must be based on the scholarly merit, quality, relevance, and integrity of the manuscript without inappropriate discrimination or influence.

Acceptance of a manuscript is not guaranteed by completion of peer review. The journal reserves the right to request further revisions or decline a manuscript where substantive concerns remain.

9. Revision and Resubmission

Authors who are invited to revise a manuscript should carefully address all comments and recommendations provided by the editors and reviewers.

When submitting a revised manuscript, authors should:

  • Address each editor and reviewer comment systematically and respectfully.
  • Provide a point-by-point response explaining how each comment has been addressed.
  • Clearly indicate where substantive changes have been made in the revised manuscript.
  • Provide a reasoned explanation where an author does not agree with, or has not implemented, a particular reviewer recommendation.
  • Ensure that revisions do not introduce inconsistencies, errors, or unsupported claims elsewhere in the manuscript.
  • Update tables, figures, references, declarations, supplementary material, and other relevant components where necessary.
  • Ensure that all authors review and approve the revised version before resubmission.
  • Submit the revised manuscript within the timeframe specified by the journal. Where additional time is required, the corresponding author should contact the editorial office.

Submission of a revised manuscript does not constitute acceptance for publication. Revised manuscripts remain subject to further editorial assessment and, where necessary, additional peer review before a final decision is made.

10. Acceptance, Production and Proofs

Once a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication, it will proceed through the journal's production process.

Authors should note that:

  • Acceptance is confirmed only through an official communication from the journal.
  • Accepted manuscripts may undergo copyediting, formatting, typesetting, reference checking, and other production-quality checks.
  • Authors may be asked to provide missing information, higher-quality figures, corrected references, or other materials required for publication.
  • The corresponding author may receive proofs for final review before publication.
  • Proof corrections should normally be limited to typographical, formatting, factual, or production errors; substantial changes to the accepted manuscript require editorial approval.
  • Authors are responsible for carefully checking names, affiliations, tables, figures, references, declarations, and other information appearing in the proofs.
  • Proof corrections should be returned within the timeframe specified by the journal to avoid unnecessary publication delays.
  • Any error identified after publication should be reported promptly to the editorial office so that appropriate corrective action can be considered under the journal's publication ethics and correction policies.

Publication will proceed after completion of the journal's required editorial and production checks.

11. Copyright, Licensing and Open Access

Authors should review the journal's copyright, licensing, and open-access policies before submitting a manuscript.

Authors should ensure that:

  • They have the necessary rights to submit the manuscript and authorize its publication.
  • All third-party copyrighted material included in the manuscript has been appropriately acknowledged and, where required, permission for its use has been obtained.
  • The manuscript clearly identifies the source of any material reproduced or adapted from another publication.
  • Authors understand the journal's applicable open-access licence and the rights and responsibilities associated with that licence.
  • Any copyright or licensing agreements required by the journal are completed before publication.
  • Any funder or institutional open-access requirements applicable to the research are disclosed and considered.
  • The licence applicable to the published article will be clearly displayed with the article in accordance with the journal's licensing policy.

Authors should consult the journal's Open Access, Copyright and Licensing Policy for the specific licence terms, author rights, reuse conditions, and other applicable requirements.

12. Publication Fees and Charges

Authors must be clearly informed of any fees or charges associated with manuscript submission, processing, or publication before completing the submission process.

For the ASRIC Journal on Health Sciences:

  • Authors should consult the journal's current Publication Fees and Charges Policy before submission.
  • Any applicable Article Processing Charge (APC), submission fee, publication fee, or other charge must be clearly stated by the journal.
  • Where the journal does not charge authors any submission or publication fees, this will be clearly stated on the journal website.
  • Authors will not be required to pay undisclosed fees as a condition of manuscript consideration or publication.
  • Where waivers, discounts, or exemptions are available, the applicable eligibility requirements and procedures will be stated in the journal's policy.
  • Payment of any applicable fee does not guarantee acceptance or publication of a manuscript. Editorial decisions are based on scholarly quality, peer review, relevance, and compliance with journal policies.

Authors should verify the current fees and charges information published on the journal website before submission.

13. Data Availability and Supplementary Materials

Authors should provide sufficient information to support the transparency, verification, and reproducibility of the research, where applicable.

Please ensure that:

  • The manuscript includes a Data Availability Statement where applicable.
  • The statement explains where and how the data supporting the findings can be accessed.
  • Where data are deposited in a public repository, the repository name and persistent identifier or link should be provided.
  • Where data cannot be made publicly available because of ethical, legal, confidentiality, privacy, or other legitimate restrictions, this should be clearly explained.
  • Authors retain the underlying research data and documentation in accordance with applicable institutional, ethical, funder, and legal requirements.
  • Supplementary materials are clearly identified and directly relevant to the manuscript.
  • Supplementary files are appropriately named, numbered, and referenced within the manuscript.
  • Authors ensure that supplementary data, tables, figures, appendices, multimedia, or other files do not contain confidential or personally identifiable information unless appropriate consent and authorization have been obtained.

Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and appropriate presentation of research data and supplementary materials associated with their manuscript.

14. Post-Publication Corrections, Retractions and Complaints

ASRIC Scientific Journals are committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record. Concerns identified after publication will be considered in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.

Authors should note that:

  • Errors identified after publication should be reported promptly to the journal's editorial office.
  • Where an error materially affects the article but does not invalidate its overall findings, the journal may publish an appropriate correction.
  • Articles may be retracted where there is reliable evidence of serious error, fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical research, or other circumstances that substantially undermine the reliability or integrity of the published work.
  • Retraction decisions will be made through an appropriate editorial process and the published scholarly record will be maintained transparently.
  • Authors are expected to cooperate with legitimate editorial investigations concerning their submitted or published work.
  • Authors, reviewers, readers, and other stakeholders may raise concerns or complaints regarding editorial procedures, publication ethics, or published content through the journal's designated communication channel.
  • Complaints and appeals will be considered fairly and, where appropriate, independently of the original decision-making process.
  • Corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, and other post-publication notices will be clearly linked to the affected article where applicable.

Further information is provided in the journal's Corrections and Retractions Policy and Complaints and Appeals Policy.
